Testing, testing

Let's see if I can post Japanese here...

ワイト    ウエソディ

I can! Huzzah!

That is my name in Katakana. Waito Uendi - White Wendy. While westerners usually provide their first name before their last name, in Japan you usually give your family name first.

はじめまして. 私  は ワイト  ウエソディ です. よろしく  おれがいします!

(Pleased to meet you. I am Wendy White. Please be kind to me as I will be to you. One of the most basic greetings you would doubtless learn within your first Japanese lesson! Hopefully I spelt it right, writing is the hardest for me - speaking is much easier.)

Edit: My good friend Ms さくら-アーリスッ (I may have spelled that wrong) suggested that I spell "White" as

ホワイト (ho-wa-i-to)

This does actually sound a little closer to how I pronounce it, so I might go with this katakana spelling in future.

I love that I get to work out how my own name is spelled!

She tried to go post-human, but forgot to buy the stamps.
